Over the course of the next few lessons, we will be covering scope, one of the most important ideas in programming. Scope defines where a variable can be accessed or referenced. There are some variables that can be accessed from anywhere within a program, while other variables may only be available within a very specific context. Over the next handful of lessons, we will be exploring global and local scope for variables and learn best practices for variable declaration.
